The TAB concept of sharing ideas,
constructive criticism and encouraging results has
invigorated this aging spirit. While not exactly
a fountain of youth, TAB has been a successful “kick in the pants” that
I am very grateful to be an active participant in
this unique program that rewards results.

TAB is different from many other business oriented membership groups because you are held accountable by your group and your facilitator. Most business memberships treat you like it is just a seminar where TAB members give you down to earth hard facts and they are up front about any problem you are seeking an answer for. Once your group arrives at a solution they
hold you accountable to follow it through.

The Alternative Board covers a vast range of issues that are essential for the operation of any business. In the competitive business world every business owner needs an advantage to help capture a share of their market. Every discussion at TAB meetings are confidential and do not leave the confines of the meeting room. In contrast, members can leave with a renewed purpose for their own business concerns, set new goals and reap rewards from advise given through The Alternative Board. TAB provides us the training, structure and peer pressure from respected business people in the area to work hard on an effective action plan and the incentive to follow through on those plans. This is not a Chamber of Commerce or Networking Group, but a serious foundation of like business people teaming together to help each other. I like to use the saying, “in business for yourself, but not by yourself.”
- Paul Blackstock, CSA My bottom line is much better as a result of my TAB membership. We still do well in the areas in which we have always done well. My Board has forced me to look hard at the other critical success factors in my industry. Small improvements in our effectiveness in these areas have produced great gains for my business. Without TAB, I did not even know enough of the questions. Now, with the help of a great group of peers, I have many of the answers, more growth, more stability, more profit, a road map for the coming years, and a lot less pressure.
